worlds

a meditation

listen . . .

. . . to quiet melodies that stir your soul
and melt your heart
and lull you to sleep
and call mist to your eyes
and remind you to draw your loved ones close

or

. . . roaring notes that inspire movement and passion and urge you to climb into the clouds
and turn the volume up up up until
your heart can’t be heard pounding
and your legs can’t be felt burning
and the only thing you know is the forward motion of your soul

feed your mind with stories
and tellings
and lessons to be learned

nurture your soul with art
and creation
and the joy of a quiet moment or a bird’s call or a simple bright flower

laugh at little mistakes and big wonders

remember the moments of hurt
of loss
breathe them in
and out again

and offer your arms to a body in need

go places you’ve never been

and

push boundaries you never knew you could
boundaries you didn’t know existed until you brushed against them
cold and hard
push with your warm soft love
your fierce boiling passion
and push with your hard stone courage

eat foods that serve the body, ease the mind, and bring joy to the eye
move through the world with power and imperfection

care for yourself

your body

your mind

your soul

your world

and the worlds that inhabit you
